Project Jagerna Duration & Chronology of Events
Lord willing, the translation arm of this project will take approximately 5-7 years. The publication and dissemination arms will continue indefinitely until such time as the Nepali population has been saturated with copies of a faithful and accurate Bible.
Because of a sense of urgency with regard to the Nepali people having access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a faithful translation of the Holy Scriptures, the translation work will begin with the Gospel of John so that it can be printed in tract form alongside a solid presentation of the salvation message. This will be followed by the Epistle to the Romans; this important doctrinal book can then be printed jointly with the Gospel of John. With John and Romans completed and published, the translation work will resume with the remainder of the New Testament, beginning with the synoptic Gospels and culminating in Revelation. Once the New Testament is complete, the Old Testament work will begin with Psalms & Proverbs. These can then be appended to the New Testament for publication and dissemination. Finally, the remainder of the Old Testament will be targeted, beginning with the Torah and culminating with the Prophets. At such time, the complete Bible can then be printed and distributed. Proceeding from the translation work will also be efforts to build a biblical concordance and a system of chain references for the Jagerna Translation.
